Is your business planning an office move? Most Corporate offices would have invaluable artwork on display adorning walls of their offices, lobby and hallways. These precious masterpieces require delicate handling and expertise. With a wealth of fine art management experience in our team, we understand exactly what’s important for you and your artwork.
We have created bespoke fine art management solutions for some of the world’s foremost museums, galleries, international corporations and private collectors. One such corporate fine art project we successfully completed was for a London Based Public Relations Firm, which comprised of a corporate office relocation, as well as the relocation of valuable artwork.
The client required the safe relocation of 54 artworks of various sizes and values including standard hanging framed artworks (ranging in value of up to £2.5m!), a Harley Davidson Hydra Glide and an aircraft wing via staircase.
To ensure the smooth success of the project, we teamed up and worked alongside our sister company, Edward Baden Specialist Movers. Prior to moving day, our project manager undertook several pre-move visits to ensure that the best possible preparation was in place and planned the most economical way of transporting the artwork safely.
The safe relocation of the artwork spanned across three days. Bespoke polystyrene-lined plywood cases were commissioned for the most valuable artworks. All artworks were export packed by our specialist fine art team, and transported via our air-ride suspension vehicle to the new site. The Harley Davidson Hydra Glide and aircraft wing were transported by our heavy division using machine skates, a stair climber and specially designed ramps.
At the new site, our installation team rehung all the art pieces in the designated positions using a scaffold tower where necessary. All this was done under the supervision of our dedicated move manager who is present on site to ensure every task is performed to the highest of standards.
With the artwork safely moved, the team then proceeded with the relocation of 280 staff members from 5 floors to the client’s new office site over a two-day weekend programme.
The relocation project was completed smoothly and on schedule as planned.
